In the summer of 2020, Hoover High School graduate Tresor Nshimiye (‘20) decided to interview professionals in his hometown of North Canton, Ohio for a pre-college project funded by Harvard University, where Tresor would be majoring in Global Health and Medicine. The goal was to help high school students get career advice and build self-awareness through hearing the stories of professionals in the community. With a goal of elevating youth voice and creating a more connected community, MentorStark.org is proud to host Tresor’s work through sponsorship from the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. We’ll introduce five new interviews each week. Listen to the stories of our community members and then make an effort to have similar conversations in your own circles. Visit the How Can We Help? page if you want to connect with a professional and have your own career discussion. Time for the town to get talking!
